Bamboo products are becoming more mainstream and for a good reason.
We will be writing a future post highlighting all of the reasons why Bamboo is such an excellent plant but in the meantime here are some of the top bamboo products available today.
Please accept our apologies for the completely biased first and second spots.

1. Ecoshoots Bamboo Cotton Buds – £8.79
We all know plastic cotton buds are awful and have been banned since April 2020. The big brand household names have countered with paper versions which we just didn’t find up to the job. They bend very easily, which doesn’t make for good user experience.
Our bamboo cotton buds are much sturdier and have a generous amount of GOTS certified cotton so that you can be assured that they are a sustainable option.
When used, just pop them in your compost or food waste bin, and they will naturally biodegrade. The packaging is all made from recycled cardboard.
They are currently available in a value pack of 1000 (5 boxes of 200), but we will soon be launching a smaller package of 400.
2. Ecoshoots Reusable Bamboo Cotton Pads – £12.99
Disposable cotton pads end up in a landfill. Production of these pads generally involves using standard cotton, which is heavy on resources to grow.
Our reusable cotton pads are a blend of bamboo fibres and cotton. They are ideal for makeup removal and are then fully washable.
We saw that existing reusable cotton pads had issues with staining, so we decided to make one side black for heavy makeup removal (Lipstick/mascara) and then the other side white for cleansing and toning.
This way, the white side will stay whiter for longer. You can pop them in the cotton wash bag after usage, and they will clean as good as new, giving you long term cost savings vs disposable.
3. Ecoegg Reusable Bamboo Kitchen towels – £9.68
This kitchen roll alternative can save you money and displace up to 1700 sheets of regular paper kitchen roll.
They are also more robust and more absorbent!
Just rinse under the tap or pop them in the wash for more stubborn stains. Glass is also not a problem as they are lint-free.
4. The Cheeky Panda Bamboo Baby Wipes Multipack (Pack of 12) – £16.72
If you have kids or have been around them for any length of time, then you will know how often you tend to reach for the baby wipes.
Most brands out there generally contain some level of plastic and aren’t recyclable. Enter Cheeky Panda bamboo baby wipes! They are 100% biodegradable and 99% purified water and aloe vera extract.
Now you can feel less guilty about reaching for the wipe to clean up that sick on your shoulder! This bumper pack of 12 is admittedly more expensive than your big brand or supermarket brands but worth the extra in our eyes.
5. Boffee Cup – Reusable Bamboo Coffee Cup – £5.99
A plastic-free reusable coffee cup!
The lid is made of bamboo and screws onto the cup to prevent unwanted spillages. They also include a spare lid just in case you lose one.
My only gripe is the silicone sleeve; maybe this can be improved upon in the future or perhaps offer a variation without the sleeve so people can reuse them from a previous purchase.
At the end of its life, it will biodegrade with your compost (minus the silicone sleeve).
6. VORSURE Natural Bamboo Wooden Rotating 360° Make Up Cosmetic Carousel Organiser – £29.99
Most of the makeup organisers than we have seen are fully plastic! This one is made mostly from bamboo, bar the rotating disk.
So if you have makeup scattered everywhere or stuffed in drawers then perhaps this could be a neat, more eco-friendly way to get organised.
7. Ogori 100% Bamboo Portable Laptop Stand – £25.89
If you spend time on your computer working from home, a change of scenery can always be nice.
This product is a portable laptop stand with changeable viewing angle, made from bamboo.
Use on your sofa, in bed or as a ergonomic upgrade on your desk!
8. M & W Reusable Bamboo Cutlery Set – £5.99
We have all been there. You need to get some fast food on the go. But what with what do they expect you to eat it?
That’s right, plastic cutlery! This handy bamboo cutlery travel set can provide an alternative. Don’t settle for plastic when you are out any more.
9. BFWood Bamboo Handle with Bamboo Bristles Paddle Hairbrush – £6.98
This product is a plastic-free, fully bamboo hairbrush which is excellent for easy detangling.
If you have a sensitive scalp, then the bristles may be a little stiff, but for the average person, they should be fine.
As a bonus, they have more heat resistance than plastic if you tend to blowdry your hair.
10. Eco-Hive Natural Bamboo Dish Scrub Brush 4 Piece Set – £10.99
This dish wash set is produced from bamboo and coconut fibres as opposed to plastic.
There are four different brushes which have different use cases, including cleaning pans, plates and inside of glasses.
And as with most bamboo products, at the end of its life, it will biodegrade.
Bamboo Products Roundup
Bamboo doesn’t suit all products but as you can see from the above list there are more and more becoming available as a genuine, sustainable alternative to plastic and standard wood.
